3) Free Directory Submission:
Most of the directories available on the internet start free during their launch period and turn into paid submits once they are established. There are exceptions to this like Google directory and Yahoo directory as well as Dmoz directory submission which are free for life, but the chance of getting into them using the free mode is quite bleak.
4) Reciprocal Directory Submission:
Some directories offer free submission if you can provide them with a reciprocal or even 3-way link. The 3-way works the best as reciprocal has lost value in Google algorithm recently. This kind of submission service has been started out of popular demand from webmasters, where we submit “blogs” to web-directories that are specialized in blogs only. It’s a bit more expensive than the general directory submission service.
